LPN and LVN Salary-According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistic the median income for LPNs is approximately $39,000 annually. The Eastern United States typically had higher salaries than that of licensed practical nurses in the Western U.S. It was also noted that many procedures typically completed in hospitals are now being handled by LPNs to help curb health care costs. For this reason it is expected that LPN positions are projected to increase 21 percent by 2018.
